Default Summer Vacation-Which date would you choose?

    Hi--

If you had to choose either late June or early August for a trip to Disney World, which would you chose?

    Thanks!

Late June, for sure. The humidity in August is incredible.

But anytime is a great time at WDW

I would vote for early August because:

    1) The heat doesn't bother me and I really don't know if there's that much difference...90 & humid in late June versus 95 & humid in August. My parents have gone in June, July, August & September and said they really couldn't see much difference.
    2) Crowds seem to gradually increase between Memorial Day & the 4th of July. By the beginning of August, things seem to slow down a little.

Both are going to be hot, but August will be hotter...so I would go with June

Ditto - we've taken our summer trips during most dates between early May & early August for the past 12 years, and couldn't tell much of a difference in temperature either. As far as the crowds, the first week of August last year was definitely less crowded than mid to late June was in 2009.

August gets my vote. The heat doesn't bother me (I swear I'm cold blooded because I thrive in the triple digits!)

Our most recent trips in June and July have been hit or miss with the crowds. The Brazilian Tour groups in June and July can be difficult for some if they are at the same hotel. June and July also seem to be very busy since school just got out and everyone is heading on vacation at the beginning of summer.

In June and July you do have the Sounds Like Summer Concert series, which is a lot of fun!

Honestly, both are pretty similar for weather and crowds. But I would vote for June as hurricane season starts to really ramp up in August!

Late June for sure. We have weather pretty much just like WDW, and the heat and humidity are horrible right now. Late June wasn't nearly as bad as it is now. Everytime I go out to water my plants, or just to sit and have a nice cold drink and read the paper or a magazine on my patio I think of how much I wouldn't like WDW in this weather. As much as I love WDW, I would never want to visit in August!

I would go in late June. The humidity is alot worse in August. For instance my dewpoint here right now is 79 and the heat index is 99 already. You don't usually get that kind of dew point in June.
Your attention please, the Walt Disney World Railroad is now boarding for a trip around the Magic Kingdom
