POR - pool refurb...vent!

Yes, yes, I know: everything has to be refurbed @ some point (I'm glad for that) & someone is always going to be disappointed. Knowing that, I still want to vent! 'Cause I really do not understand refurbing Acadian House/Magnolia Terrace & then refurbing the quiet pool in between them after both mansions are completed! Just seems like they would refurb the pool while at least one of those mansions was closed to minimize guest aggravation. Maybe there's a good reason for it; anybody know?

OK, my rant is over; helps to bring it to an empathetic audience.

I have up trying to figure out Disneys logic a LONG time ago lol. Sure lets referb a pool...in the middle of the summer...yeah that makes perfect sense lol

Exactly, I mean you wouldn't wanna refurb it in the middle of winter when no one really uses the pool that much. That would make to much sense lol.

It's a Florida thing! We also do road construction and bridge work during tourist season!

Lol, I agree with you there Tink. We definitely pick odd times to do road work here in Florida. In Tampa they like to do a lot of it in the daytime instead of at night, since there's way less traffic in the day then at night!

My rant: Splash Mountain. I havent ridden that thing in YEARS. We always go during marathon week and they ALWAYS rehab it during that week. I dont understand why Disney would create an event that attracts 10s of thousands of people and then rehab a major attraction right during that time period. Seriously, rehab cant wait 5 days?

Yeah, but a few years back, the word was they were going to totally redo Space Mountian, but someone decided not to do it because they didnt want to shut down a major attraction for a long period of time!?!?!? So the teeth rattler lives on lol
