Sending a Package .....

We are 17 days away from taking off from Michigan and landing in Magic.....when should I send a package to my resort? How far in advance can it be sent? How do I need to address it?

I decided to ship all our items that we will not be bringing back home with us....

I would ship so it arrives 1 to 2 days before you. If you use UPS (preferred) or FEDX you can check online or call to get your needed shipment date. I always use UPS and I can check progress online, then print out delivery receipt, and who signed for it. Have never needed, but you never know.

city, state & zip

I put my name and arrival date on all four sides of box. Probably not necessary but want it to be seen!

I was told that if we were arriving on a friday/saturday we should ship the box out that Monday.

and as Wdwfan said above, that is how i was told to address it.

i have to actually get a new address because we are staying at the GF first instead of the BWI...

wdwfan is dead on - when the kids were tots we would ship two boxes ahead (which also helped a LOT in the airport along with our aviation approved car seat that turned into a stroller - that thing was so worth ten times what we paid...) anyway, they were always there in the back..never any issues. Have fun!

Where do we find the specific address of the hotels? I'm thinking of doing this myself fabulous idea ponmommy

just to be sure i would google the phone number for the resort you are staying at and call them up.... the CM that answers will be able to tell you exactly where to ship it
