Christmas ornaments . . .

This is for question for anyone that has ordered personalized Christmas ornaments in November instore. How long did it take? We were there at the beginning of December a few years ago and the timeline was 3 weeks to have them personalized!! I was hoping to pick some up for gifts this time . . . .

It always seems to vary, when I go.

There have been times when I visited in September and wanted to kick myself when they told me 7 days. I had been there for 10 and wouldn't have had to pay for shipping if I had just gone to the store in the beginning of my trip!

I can't remember how long the wait was when I went in November. I HAD to ship because it was only a short trip. I would say it was 3 weeks or less.

I think the wait time may be shorter during the less busy months and months away from the Christmas season.

Other posters may have a better formula!

The last few times we called ahead, about 4 weeks in advance. Then we just went & picked them up when we got there. Of course you are subject to what ever stock they tell you they have in store at the time. We ordered the end of Aug & picked up in Oct and could only get the white & red ornaments.

When we were there this past January, we got our ornaments personalized at the Christmas store in MK, and you could actually book a time to have them done.

In our case, since it was right after Christmas, we only waited about 30 minutes for a "slot" to open up and have them done.

I've also been caught at the DTD location, and gone too late in the trip and had to cough up big $$ for international shipping (DH reminds me of that every Christmas when we decorate the . So, my advice, like others is to go as soon as you can in your trip, and hopefully you'll be able to book a slot that isn't too far away.

I had mine done at the Christmas Store in DTD and had it shipped to my resort the next day! This was mid December.

We spend Thanksgiving week in Disney every yar so we get our ornaments every year on Black We get ours shipped home and it usually arrives one week after we get home.
