CBR Martinique Section
Has anyone stayed in the Martinique section of CBR? I have stayed at CBR before but only in Trinadad south section.
I requested building 22 (with a room request of the closest room available to the quite pool) because it looks to be the closest to both OPR (without having to pay for prefered) and the bus, is this a good choice?
Also, how are the Nemo rooms? I have only stayed in the Pirate rooms so I am a little worried that the Nemo ones might be showing their age a little more.

In December we stayed in Martinique. We were in building 25 which is a preferred room. I had booked a standard room with the request to be close to the food court due to mobility issues. I was lucky to get such a great location.
The building you requested is fairly close to OPR and the Martinique bus stop. Hopefully your request will be honored.

Many visits. Live 20 minutes from the parks.
Work at Universal Studios in Diagon Alley. Ollivanders/ wand magic.

I haven't stayed in Martinique, so I can't comment on that particular section, but I will tell you that the Nemo rooms look great. They were just re-done a couple of years ago (fall of '08 they were finished, I believe) and we were last there Oct '09 and they were still great!! Clean, fresh... I think you'll enjoy them.
As far as choosing a building close to OPR that's also not considered to be "preferred status", you might also consider the Jamaica section. It's directly across from OPR, esp. if you request building 44 or 46... you just have to walk across the walkway that takes you through Caribbean Cay, the island in the middle of the lake. It's peaceful, quite pretty and a nice, quick walk.
I hope you have a wonderful stay, wherever you end up... I think you'll enjoy yourself!

The only section I have stayed in is Martinique. Each time it was wonderful. Easy walk to OPR and our bus stop was first and we dropped off first. It has been several years since I have stayed there, so the route could have changed. The rooms were very comfortable and we were near the pool. I don't remember what building number we were in. Have a great trip!

Stay in 22
We've been to CBR 8 times - everytime we go to WDW. Jamaica and Aruba are good b/c get to walk across bridge - kind of nice'
Last 2 times in Martq (requested 22 and got it). We like bdlg 22 best because:
1) standard rate, but close ot OPR
2) Beach is right there, big and has playground,
3) Close to bus stop - find the shortest route and for parking
4) With 22 have the choice of 2 private pools/laundry: Martq and barbadosi - about equi-distant. So if one is crowded or cold, trythe other.
Renovations are nice touch.
We'll be there next time.
You'll have fun

I think you will like the nemo rooms! The bus will be fine. It's hit and miss whether they will come in the front entrance or the back entrance of the resort anyways!
Have a great time there! (it's our fav resort)
Caribbean beach...were jammin'

All fo the rooms in CBR were refurbished right around the same time the Pirate rooms first opened, so it's not like the standard rooms are much older than the Pirate rooms.
I try to talk people out of calling the standard rooms "Nemo rooms" because it's not a strong theme like the Pirate rooms ... it's a slight motif, with just a few characters appearing on the wall border and the bedspread.
Martinique is the first stop for buses going to Magic Kingdom and for buses going to Downtown Disney. Buses going to the remaining 3 theme parks start at Jamaica.
