    Smile Good Location at CSR?

I'm making our first ressies for CSR today and wondering if I should request any specific (but not "preferred") location at CSR. We don't care about pools and would rather be further away from them, but would like to be reasonably close to the Pepper Market since we plan on getting breakfast there some mornings. We would also like to be close to a bus stop, but not necessarily the "main" bus stop.
Also, I know the values don't usually have elevators, does CSR?

We stayed in Casitas 1 (preferred room) and were very happy with our location. We were on the 3rd floor (there are elevators) and it was just a few min walk from Pepper Market and the main bus stop. The pool was futher than we would of liked, though, it sounds like just what you're looking for!

I just re-read your post and saw you did not want a perferred room location! Sorry!

We could take a preferred room, but we'd prefer (heh) to not pay extra.

How much more does it cost for a preferred room at CSR? What is the difference between a preferred and a regular room? We will be staying there for for the first time in August and I was not aware of differences in the rooms.

Preferred rooms are $20-30 more per night. The rooms themselves aren't different, but they are in a location that's closer to the main building, bus stops, pools, etc. Looking online at WDW now, from a standard, non-preferred room at CSR, it's the same cost to upgrade to water view, preferred room, and king bed room.

We've stayed both in Casitas and Cabanas, and I think you would prefer Cabanas...it's further away from the convention center and feels like a sleepy little village unto itself...plus, we loved the hammocks on the beach!

    Have fun!

We stayed twice in Casitas and once in the Rancho area. We much prefer Casitas as it is so much closer to the main building.

    Thumbs up Casita

We have stayed at the Casitas several times. We prefer Casita 1 with water view. It is close to the bus stop and only a few minute walk to Peppers or Maya pool. Our next visit will be the same.
We were never affected by the "so called" convention noise that so many mention which is over hyped. Even on days we stayed at our own pool area for the entire day kicking back, we never were affected by "noise". The sounds of other guests kids made more of a rukus

Cabanas is a VERY easy walk to the main building. I've stayed in all three sections now and it's my preferred location. Ranchos is great, but while the walk is doable, it is a bit far. Cabanas is close in proximity to both the main pool (Dig Site) and El Centro...and it's not at a preferred price!
