?? for golfers out there...
Two questions from my DH for any of you who frequent the Disney courses...
1 - can he shower at the course before coming to meet us at the parks, or will he have to go back to our resort??
2 - if he CAN shower and come meet us, can he have his clubs sent back to our resort, or will he have to take them there himself? If that's the case, I guess he could shower there, as well....
Thanks for any suggestions/tips... he loves to get up early and go play, but once he's done, he likes to get to the parks to meet us ASAP! Plus, since it'll be August, he's thinking showering and travelling around afterwards as little as possible would be nice...

Yes, the clubhouses have nice locker facilities including showers.

The answer to your question is no - he cannot send his clubs back alone. However, if he's going to play again the next day, he can send his clubs to another course or keep them at the course he's playing. He cannot send them to the resort without him accompanying the clubs.

I've played all the courses numerous times - August is a tough month as the humidity makes things a bit more uncomfortable. The "transfers" to/from the course are complimentary, but we always give the cab driver a tip anyway (yellow cab service). The Disney facilities are great and the courses are usually in tip top shape. Another thing to consider - although I wouldn't do it, Disney gives "free rental clubs" to those staying at a WDW resort and playing golf. This could eliminate the need to lug the clubs around... Just food for thought. Have fun!

I will note that the rental clubs you can get from Disney are fairly nice. It takes a few holes to get a feel for them (plus some time at the range), but it sure makes the flight down and back a lot easier! Last time I played, I believe I had the choice between two sets: Cobra and Titleist, with Cobra's irons being more forgiving for us duffers.

Thanks for the answers -- just clarifying this one for him -- if he's not going to be playing again the next day, but will be playing a day or two away -- will they still transfer them to another course, or keep them for his next round, if it isn't the next immediate day? Not that I'm sure he'd want his clubs sitting somewhere for a few days w/o him, but still thought I'd ask.... thanks!

. . . yes
. . . tell the guy cleaning his clubs & pro shop
. . . tell course and date and time
. . . they will transport free and store for him
Not that I'm sure he'd want his clubs sitting somewhere for a few days w/o him
. . . most gofers do not mind this
. . . as long as the course keeps them for him
