All-Star Movie Resort vs Othes

I have stayed at the POP, Music, and Sports. Never stayed at the Movie, so i was thinking of staying there next to complete the cycle. Is there any differnce at all between them?

Not a whole lot of difference. I've stayed at all of the values. Sometimes you can have bus issues at Movies when they share routes with the other All Stars since its the last stop.

We like Movies. It seemed a bit worn down the last time we stayed though. (2009)

We liked Movies due to the theming when our kids were little. The buses are the big issue. As you know from staying at Music and Sports that it is the last stop to pick up and drop off, so buses arrive very full - standing room only most of the time we were there.

When POP opened we tried it and won't go back to AS due to the bus issues.

Movies is the only value that hasn't been recently rehabbed. It consistently gets "worn" reviews. Music is the only All Star resort that has music and games by the pool all day with outdoor movies at night.

I did notice that Music had the movies at the pool at night. Why wouldnt the other resorts do this I wonder?

my 2 cents- we had our worst Disney experience at movies. It could have just have been bad luck but I only stayed one night and switched resorts in the morning. Nothing horrible, just did not like the atmosphere and our room was not cleaned properly . Pizza on the floor, cheese doodles in the bed, and cigg. butts in the sink. Gross to say the least. But they cleaned it quick apologized and gave us a pin for our troubles. We still left in the morning.

I just booked All Star Music. Is Music 1st or 2nd on the bus stop route?

I got 2 PIN code emails and 1 PIN post card in the last 4 weeks, already have May 23-27 vacation approved at work so we figured why not go to WDW.

MUSIC is the only value available for our travel dates using our PIN code so we went for it. Sounds like we got the best of the All Stars.

We're driving to WDW so we'll have our car.

Is there any particular section we should request? It's just DH and me going.

I think youll like Music. The Calypso Buildings are closes to the bus stop. We stayed in the Calypso building but not on the side that faces the pool. That way there was no pool noise issues, but we were still close to the pool and bus stop.

Thanks johnO. I've stayed at Pop and I agree...we don't want to face the pool. Is Calypso a preferred section? Being close to bus stops is a good thing.

Does AS Music have elevators like Pop does?

Do you remember if Music is first or second of the AS bus stops?

It might be preferred facing the pool but perhaps not opposite the pool.

Music is the second stop when the all Stars are sharing buses. They dont always share though.

The food court is bigger at All-Star Movies than at All-Star Sports & Music.

They do have the best food court of all of theAS resorts. We have stayed there a few times and liked it. If you have small kids, the theming is great for them.

We have stayed there two times and by far it is our favorite value resort, this past weekend being the most recent.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food court is the BEST! We have had absolutely no problems with Movies. The others, well just the norm.

I would definitely recommend movies.

I have stayed at AsMu and Pop - we really prefer Pop to the All-Stars. The lay-out of the resort is different (maybe not better, just different), and the food court we really enjoyed.
