can you leave the park and come back?
Can you leave a park and come back later that same day?

yes you sure can your park ticket allows you to enter the park through out the day. So if you need to go back to the resort for a while to rest or go anywhere else you are fine to come back later in the day. If you have the Park Hopper option then you are able to go from park to park as you please.

Just be careful on extra busy days. If you leave the park and the park is at capacity you'll have to wait on line to get back in once the crowd starts to drain from the park.

What? No hand stamp? I wonder if they'll still do that for the kids.

Handstamping stopped at the end of 2004. It's no longer necessary with the Magic Your Way ticketing system.

Stamps are only given out if you want to be mailed back, otherwise, use your park ticket to return.

Depends on what time of year you go.
If you travel in say, mid January, the likelihood of hitting capacity is pretty low.
If you travel around the week of Easter, then the likelihood is quite great.

Traditionally, you could expect Magic kingdom to reach capacity of July 4th and Christmas Eve and maybe new Year's Eve. It is possible on other dates of course, but in recent years it has rarely occurred on dates other than those mentioned .

When we were there during the week of christmas back in 2008 it reached Cap by like 1030 each day in the MK. Not sure about the other parts honestly but the MK was capped and there was a looong wait line to get in.
I would not recomend leaving any park durring peak days.
Hmm you might be able to do it if you have dinner reservations at a certain restaurant inside the park but you might want to double check that.

If a park has reached capacity, having restaurant reservations inside the park will not allow you park entry.

I am trying to go to WDW from Dec. 18-24th. Is that usually a time where the parks are filled to capacity?

Perhaps on Christmas eve, but I think it is unlikely on the other days. It is always a possibilty, of course, but it usually doesn't become totally CRAZY until Christmas eve through New Years. ARe you getting a park hopper? If one of the four is filled to capacity you can always try one of the other three.
