How early do you book your trip? My work is done for now on our August 2011 trip.

yay! I love getting a trip planned! We usually plan about 6-8 months before if we're staying on property. But I've been in school for the past few years so planning a trip far in advance gives me something to look forward to . We planned our current trip (honeymoon!) in September right after we settled on our wedding date and venue!

Congratulations! The past couple years I have planned trips anywhere between 6 moths/180 days (sometimes I make ADRs before booking anything, lol) and 3 months out. I've been lucky enough to be able to do a "spontaneous" trip and book a couple months in advance and wing it but for future trips more foresight is needed, especially when balancing finances! Right now I have at least another 2 years and it's killing me, I want to go now!

Congrats!! We usually book about 9 months out, it seems, but we are also already booked for our Aug '11 trip. We actually were booked for it in August of THIS year b/c of the free dining dates being announced so early!! It's so nice having something on the books already... but boy does it drag out the planning!! Can't really do anything now until the hours come out in Feb... the waiting is killing me!

I usually book mine the same week I want to go. I hate waiting Unless there are special promotions going then I will book several months out to make sure the room at the special price is available.

We normally plan our vacations in January, so that's when we book. We were in WDW for New Year's 2010 and came home to decide we were going again for 2011! Now my DH thinks we should go in August 2011 too....we've never been twice in one year. It's everything I can do to wait and see if we can do a "Bounce Back" for that trip.

It's NEVER too early to book a WDW vaca! Now you have more time to decide if you want to add more or change something. I checked for flight discounts and hotel price changes and upgrade options every week from the time we booked (April) til our trip (Oct).

We usually book 60-90 days in advance. Waiting for those days to pass are always the longest of the year.
