Default Late Nite transportation help needed

I was just checking out the park hours and I notice DTD closes at midnight most nites. We are staying at the BWV and our in-laws are at OKW. If we were to have a late night at jellyrolls how can they get back to OKW? I always thought buses ran from DTD til at least 2am.

I suggest calling a taxi if it's in the budget. Runs about $20.

Trying to avoid taxis. I've heard that if you take the wrong company a simple quick ride could be $50!

I read on Intercot that there are late night buses that run to the BW because of the evening entertainment but I am not sure how to verify that.

FWIW, I never got really ripped off by cab at Disney. On one trip, I think the guy went the longer way but the fare was still less then $15. I never paid anywhere near $50 and I am pretty sure every ride I ever took was less then $20. We always get a cab from bell services - I don't think they would call someone that would rip off guests and possibly jeopardize a being prefered cab company to Disney.

Thanks. We'll ask about the buses but a taxi looks to be their best bet

We always ask the taxi how much to where we are going b-4 getting in. They can give you an aprx. If it was double or more they would have some explaining to do.

Cabs are sometime the best way to get around, especially if you are late or if it is after the buses stop running. We have never had any issues with the taxis. We have travelled from one end of the property to the other and have never paid more than $20 for a trip.

If there is a concern then go to the front entrance of The Boardwalk and ask for them to get a cab for you. There will be one waiting there.

Even if buses were running to DTD after midnight, taking a cab is by far the best bet. The one and only time i ever made DTD a transfer point after hours, it was a real pain. Had to wait for several buses before we could get a ride back to our hotel, taking well over an hour. At that time of night, you don't want to be standing in a long, long line at a bus stop. You just want to get to your room. You'll pay around $15 to take a cab. But it is well worth it for the convenience. Even if it was $50, i would take that over spending 2 hours just to get to my resort.

We've taken taxis on several occasions from DD to our resort and have always asked Guest Services to help us get a taxi. Since you'll be at Jellyrolls, I suggest you ask the host/hostess to call one for you.
