Just Back!

Hi fellow Intercoters! Just back from the World after a 4 yr intermission, and for the most part, the magic is STILL there. The crowds were low. Never had to FP anything. and never waited over 15 min. for anything. The weather was PERFECT!! Gorgeous days (not too hot), breezy nights (not too cool), and no rain. The WL was fabulous, as always. Had an MK view and watched Wishes from our balcony and Hallowishes the last night. What a way to end our trip. We booked our package thru Southwest and was very pleased with our entire experience as everything went smoothly from beginning to end. Great on-time filghts, smooth transitions to connecting flights, and Magical Express did beautifully! (even @ 3:45 in the AM) I would definitely recommend their vaca pkgs to anyone. Free dining plan was well worth the money! Had more than enough food and was able to use snack credits @ the Food & Wine kiosks. Tried the Kilamanjaro Safari again (said I wouldn't after last time w/NO animal sightings). This time in the early AM, and the animal sighting were plentiful and our tour guide was more interactive. We did the "Keys" tour this time. A little longer than I anticipated, but I enjoyed it just the same, and learned a few things along the way. (like why they don't allow kids to do the tour) Patrick was great and after the tour spoke at lenght w/my DD about college internship @ WDW. Was, again, chosen as "Family of the Day" @ Epcot! (thanks Wanda) and with that came no waiting for anything. Was able to get on TSM in AM (1st thing) and was amazed @ the crowd "stampede" to get there, only to wonder, after we rode, what all the hype was? It was fun, but...100 min waits?..c'mon! Hoop Dee Doo was FAB as always (we never miss it), got the best steak @ Kona Cafe that I've had in a while, Dole Whip @ Cap'n Cook's...awesome, Mickey waffles @ WCC...always wonderful, and "cousin Mikey" @ the 50's Prime Time Cafe...the food was great, but he was INCREDIBLE!! On a scale of 1-10, our dining experience was a 15 thanks to him!
All-in-all, another magical journey to the World. Contrary to previous posts, the "magic" is certainly not dead, at least not for me. I still got the same "chill" (even @ my age) when I first looked down Main St @ the castle, and the 1st sighting of the Epcot "ball", and the TOT, (and even got snubbed by a silver-back gorilla!),
And I'm guessin I'll always feel that way, no matter how old I am. That's what the "magic" is!

Sounds like you had a great time. Glad to hear you had the best steak at Kona's --- we're eating there for the first time in December.
