AP Voucher issued in Maiden Name ...
I purchased an AP exchange voucher August 2008 in my maiden name. I will be Honeymooning at WDW in December with a new last name on ID. Am I going to be able to activate the AP voucher or did I lose out?
We were married in February so my name has already been changed on all ID, credit cards, bank accounts, etc. I used all vacation time for the wedding so we delayed the WDW Honeymoon so I could accrue the time off. And, what better time to honeymoon at WDW than December!
I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have.
Thanks in advance.

This shouldn't be a problem, as your name isn't on the voucher. However, when you go to exchange your voucher for an actual pass, you'll need to show a valid ID. That is the name that will be placed on the back of your pass.

Thanks so much for the quick response!
That makes good sense, I feel much better. I ordered the AP voucher online so it was mailed to me and connected to me via the bar code. I had some concern it was issued to my maiden name.
I'll have my marriage license and old photo ID with me anyway. Our reservation is booked with the PIN Code I received in my maiden name before the wedding. My TA booked reservation under "First Name Maiden Name- Last Name", but I'd rather have too much back-up than not enough.
Thanks again!

and that's a good plan! I oftentimes purchase three A/P vouchers at a time - for DH, DS and I. I've done this through both the Disney site and The Disney Store. Once we get to the ticket window, it doesn't really matter which voucher they "cash in" for each person, provided all are adult tix.

Many many thanks, Kyles Mom!
You have put my mind to rest on the AP voucher issue. Why didn't I realize this, LOL. I purchased DL APs for my son, daughter-in-law and myself in the past. LOL, the Honeymoon is beginning to take on the same "happy" stress and planning as the wedding did, LOL.
We decided we'd like to split our Honeymoon 5 nights CBR/5 nights The Poly. My PIN Code email has no "book by" date on it so we're hoping to get a PIN Code rate for at The Poly the 2nd half of our stay. Now, I can let go of the AP worries and worry about this, ROTFL!!!!!!!
Thanks again and have a Magical Day!
