    Default Off-Site Vacation Home

Since the whole family will be going (6 adults, 2 kids and 2 pomeranians) on our next trip, we've decided to rent a house off-site.

The house is in the Highlands Reserve development of Davenport.

Anyone stayed out that way before or know where that is? What is the area like?

What am I looking at for commute times to the parks? Prpty Mgr says 10-15 but it looks longer than that.

Haven't stayed there but driven by and I'm thinking 15 mins is a little ambitious. It's not ridiculously far though. Have a great trip.

Thanks andreallybadeggs. That's kind of what I thought too.

Can anyone tell me a bit about this neighborhood?
    Is it mostly vacation homes?
Is the main road (I think hwy 25?) a busy thoroughfare with lots of noise?
    Is there shopping nearby?

We're looking for something centrally-located because not everyone in our group is going to go to the parks every day.

We've renting there before. I'd say it is about 20 minutes to DW. It's a nice, quiet area. Lots of racoons coming out at night so be sure to keep lids tight when putting out your garbage cans. There is also a Publix close by as well as other shops. Have a great time.
