Week before Labor Day crowds

We usually leave for Disney on LD weekend but this year with it being late like last year we decided on getting there a week earlier and actually leaving FROM Disney World on LD weekend.How are the crowds?

We've been the week before Labor Day before and have the crowds to be very manageabe. Last year, we went a week earlier than that and found the crowds to be still quite high.

My family has been to DW the week before LD probably the past 5 years. We've had no problems with the crowds. The weekend may get a bit busier; but nothing crazy.

We've always arrived the week before for the past 5 years and found the crowds surprisingly manageable. As the free dining promo became more popular there seemed to be a little increase but I think the past 2 years seemed to have died down again.

This year we arrive on the holiday weekend so besides those three days it should be smooth sailing the entire time.

Went that time frame in 2008. Crowds were manageable. After doing some planning, I never waited more than 20 min for any attractions although I didnt get to ride Toy Story Mania because the wait never dropped below 60 min and the fast passes always ran out.

We also went that time frame in 2008. Generally, the crowds weren't bad at all. We never had to wait a long time for a ride, but as the PP stated we also missed out on Toy Story Mania because the fast passes were always gone and the ride was always 60 minutes or longer. On our way out of HS the wait was 90 minutes! We weren't THAT interested in seeing it. DH had to wait about an hour for the Rockin' Roller Coaster, too, but I just took DD elsewhere and when DH was done he called me on my cell and we met up.

We went the week before Labor day and I have to agree with everyone else here the crowds are very managable. Not bad at all. The problem is the exteme heat and humidity. We also went in June it was much more crowded and just as hot! So of the two I prefer the end of August since the crowds are lower. You'll have a blast! Wish we were going this year...
