Dining Review: Le Cellier
We have always wanted to go to Le Cellier and could never get a ressie before this trip. We booked on our first day for ressies and even then, we could only get a lunch. It was worth it.
Lunch was incredible at Le Cellier. Possibly the best meal of the week.
The cheese soup is out of this world! We also split an appetizer of duck done three ways which was excellent.
I ate one of the best steaks (the filet) I have ever eaten in my life. Tender, flavorful, and delicious. It was on top of a mushroom risotto which was out of this world.
Wow. Everything was really great.
The creme brulee and the chocolate mousse were delicious as well. The chocolate whiskey cake, although very good, did not have a whiskey flavor.
Service, atmosphere and food were top notch. Big thumbs up for Le Cellier!

our favorite too
Le Cellier is our favorite too - we also have had difficulty with reservations, and had to take a late afternoon for our next trip - which got me wondering.... do you think they book a certain percentage for ADRs and leave some available for walk ups?

I am glad you liked it. We eat there every trip and have never been disappointed. I like how you did your reviews (one place at a time) so it is easier to read, rather than one big report at once......

We had lunch there a month ago. I agree with you, its fantastic!

We just got back from WDW on Friday. We had never been to Le Cellier before but got 2 reservations this trip. (We originally had a lunch reservation and got a dinner at the last minute. I thought if we liked it the 1st time, we could keep the 2nd reservation. If not, no big deal.) We loved it. The fillet was amazing. It is now a MUST DO every trip.

Thanks for the review. We'll be doing our first meal there in January (dinner) and I'm glad to hear it lived up to the hype.

We've always loved Le Cellier. Glad you enjoyed your meal.
I usually get the filet with the mushroom risotto, too. Always delicious and perfectly cooked. I also love the cheese soup.
We'll be dining there next week, and can't wait.

Currently, Le Cellier is on my favorite's list though there have been times when it has fallen off my favorites and we've stayed away for long periods of time.
Anyone remember when this location was a buffet?

Sure do. The food wasn't bad, it was just that it was only buffet level. The place was a bit dark and rather deserted near the end. Glad the place changed.
This is now one of our favorites.

Yes. We avoided it for the longest time. It was advertised as "cafeteria style" early on. The big thing on the menu then was apparently the tourtiere (pork pie). I had a recipe for it in my WDW cookbook and made it once. It wasn't bad. But we never dined in Canada until it was overwhelmingly popular as a steakhouse. And even now, it's good and dependable but I have had much better and can take it or leave it. I much prefer the signature dining locations.
