TTA Reopend

TTA has reopened, called Tomorrowland Transit Authority PEOPLEMOVER... There is a brand new spiel as well... It includes character voice overs and a new male voice... I listened to it online, and I don't like it...

But I will make final judgement next week when I am at WDW!!!!

Hmmm... I kinda like that they brought back the name Peoplemover. I've always called it the Wedway Peoplemover instead of the TTA anyway!

I know you can't put up the link, but can you lead me in the direction of where you heard it online?

I'm gonna miss "Welcome aboard, TTA Travellers..."

Can you please tell me where I can hear it? I was hoping that TTA would be open when I was there a month ago but it wasn't

Two thumbs up for adding Peoplemover to the name (I've always called it that).

However...

I just watched watched video of the new spiel, and I'm not loving it. As the attraction that runs throughout Tomorrowland, the new spiel should really be themed to unify the entire land to, you know, tomorrow. Like the old spiel, but updated and tying up the loose ends.

Instead, it's a preview of all the attractions you can go on while in Tomorrowland. It's a commercial.

Not that I was in love with the old spiel, but I think the new one goes in the wrong direction. It's a talking park map.

Not a huge stretch for WDI, if you ask me.

Me too, but apparently it's since changed.

Wow. That is a lot different than it used to be. It's really... quiet?! There isn't a whole lot of narration at all. Nobody pages Mr. Morrow... Mr. Tom Morrow. Nobody says "Now approaching". No chopper fly-by over the Speedway. You're right - it's just a few quick remarks about the ride you're driving by and that's it.
Oh well, at least the ride itself is still relaxing but it's less of a ride now than a commercial. Can you imagine if they did the same thing to the Railroad? Eek!

Don't give them any ideas. Or, give them time. Either one. Remember, Toontown's station is going to be redone. One only hopes nothing changes, but, I have no faith in the management at the moment.

Let's hope they Judy Dench it some more... In other words, add more to it... I'm still not liking it... Hopefully they are still tweeking it... if not, I will remain

I just rode the TTA people mover this weekend, and well I miss the old spiel. I agree it is just a commercial.

I know the needed to update the spiel sense the ride updates for stitch and laugh floor but I miss the big city theming of the traffic report, safety alerts and people paging.

While we were the space mountain was all blocked off. when you went inside the work lights were all on. you could see some of the ride structure. Im surprised they would open TTA when one of the main ride through sections is blacked out.

I just watched a video posted on oct 2 2009 on utube.... The new voice has no character or emotion in it at all. Blah. It's getting a negative review everywhere I read about it. But other than that, the park looks dead in the video. I better get there...

Obviously they will add narration to the Space Mountain segment once the ride is operational. But even so, they still need more between there and the Astro Orbiter as well as other areas. I don't mind the addition of the character voices but I think it would have been much better to leave the original narration & add the character voices to that.
I guess next time I go I'll have to put on my headphones & play the old narration while I ride.
