Default Cabin Newbie Question #2: Charcoal etc.

    Cabin Newbie puzzlement continues.

    Cabins have grills.

We are flying to MC and using DME to WDW-FW. Needless to say, I neither want to check charcoal through (though a bag of briquettes with a DME tag would look unusual) or shove a bag of charcoal in the overhead bin.

Yet, hot dogs and s'mores one evening might be fun.

Can I get charcoal at the 'Trading Post' at Fort Wilderness.

(shhh... or I could point my gang to the Campfire Program and tell 'em to charge hot dogs and a s'more kit to their room)

As I recall, it is available at the store in the campground. You might also want to consider a grocery delivery service.

The trading posts do carry a limited supply of items, and I think charcoal might be one of them. I hope so, and also that you have a great trip

Assuming they don't run out...yes, we have gotten charcoal at the Trading Post. Don't forget to get some matches too!

Yes, the trading post has charcoal, lighting fluid, matches, etc.., but they are pricey! If you are taking the bus to FW, see about getting groceries delivered. If you are either driving or getting a taxi from the airport, stop on the way in a grab a few items to stock the cabin. You will need drinks, snacks, breakfast stuff, marshmallows, etc.. These items are not cheap inside FW. Have fun! We love the Cabins!!
