We were in WDW during the 3rd week of September last year and it felt like we were being invaded! We leave in 12 days I hope they stay far away.

While I am not sure about Disney, I can say for certain that the love bugs are doing their thing in Mobile, Al.

Usually, they seem to be gone by early Oct. At worst I don't think you will see many.

I just returned yesterday from a weeklong trip and didn't notice any. I was there two years ago the first week in October, and they were everywhere!!!

Judging from the condition of my windshield and grille over the past week, they have arrived, but not terribly heavy quite yet.

No flying cucarachas!
Love bugs are absolutely harmless, but somewhat annoying tiny flying bugs that show up twice a year hereabouts. They don't bite, sting, or otherwise cause any harm to humans. More info from Wikipedia.

It seems like on our past trips they were more attracted to light colors, and water areas. When we were there in 2006 they were really heavy, but not near as bad in 2007.

first trip for 3 yr anniversary in 1998. 8 more trips since then!

Just got back on the 19th and for the first half of the trip we saw none, a few days before we left we started to see them but not a lot.
