Default Live from Disney's Hilton Head Island Resort Part two!

Today was a great day. I have to say though, it is HOT. I am hotter than I have ever been on any of our WDW trips. And the humidity feels like it is at 200%. There was a cool breeze at the beach today though, thank goodness.
We rented umbrellas and chairs at the beach today and they will be ours, reserved for us in that same spot on the beach for the week. Nice. The water is like bathwater, so very warm. A dolphin swam right next to my daughters and husband, and a hammerhead shark and a stingray were also sighted today. We found live starfish and sand dollars and that was awesome. We had lunch at Disney's Beach house and its so funny to see Disney paper products and refillable mugs at a place other than WDW.
Tonight was spent at the Salty Dog Cafe which was yummy. We made it back for the resort campfire and that was totally Disney. The CM's were terrific, so funny and we spent the evening singing and and doing smores. We ended the night with a walk on the pier looking for fiddler crabs. We did some bike riding in between, and we are all pooped out tonight.
Up tomorrow! Crabbing off the pier in the am. Disney sells crabbing nets for 5 bucks that you can keep. Then a local bakery/cafe (Signes) that we saw on the food channel. Off to Shelter Cove for dnner after a afternoon on the beach. Our private dolphin excursion is at sunset. We also reserved a sand sculpture class through Disney!
The resort is so very peaceful. So many Disney details. They really do this place right.

I'm glad you're having a great time. Sounds very relaxing, I'm glad the "Disney-touch" is there.

Sounds like you are off to a great start in a great place. Crabbing off the pier brings back so many childhood memories for me, so much fun. Enjoy!

    Lisa,
So glad your having such a wonderful time. It sounds like an amazing resort. We felt the same exact way when we vacationed at Disney's Vero Beach. It had all the perfect Disney touches, but not all the action of WDW. Very relaxing! Can't wait to read more.
