    Default Norway Movie?

Do you stay and watch the movie at the end of the Maelstrom ride?

I have a theory, as cynical as it may be...

If you are over 40, then you will stay for the movie. If under,
then you are more likely to by-pass it.

Of course, there are exceptions to any rule or observation... but I mean in general.

So tell us... you watch, or not... and... are you over or under 40?

Over 40...and we watch it every other time.

Haven't ridden in a couple of years...I heard they updated it, so I may have to watch on this upcoming trip!

I think we watch the movie, we don't go often though so we don't tend to leave things for next time as that could be a while. That's probably why we don't necessarily fit that rule.

We're a family so mixed age groups, I've gone to WDW ages 8, 11 and 15, my brother has been ages 10, 13, 16 and my sister has been ages 4, 7, 11. Alongside our parents who are of course a generation older.

Under 40 and we watch it every time.

I get to the part with the little kid touching the boat . . . I saw that very boat and get excited every time I see it! :-)

Under 40 and I watch it at least once with DS every trip. I think it has less to do with age and more to do with if you're interested in actually learning about the countries at World Showcase or just there for a quick thrill ride.

I feel the same way. We will watch the movie at least once on every trip. We did this before and after I was 40. If we go on the ride again on a 2nd day at Epcot, we will not stay for the movie.

I watch it most of the time (over 40) - but that's because I've been to Norway and have gone to that Museum. It's a wonderful country, with great, friendly people.

Of course, that movie could use a little updating - there's a computer in one scene that belongs in a Museum too!

sometimes its not even played, last time I went on it I stayed for the movie, it was kinda weird, it shows like a little kid then like vikings with scary music and it flashes back and forth. its boring imo. I like to see everything atlease once though.

under 40 and we stay pretty much every time.

The way I look at it - I'm there to soak in the "magic". While things like the movie may be hokey, they help put/keep me in the Disney mood!

I have stayed for the movie a couple of times, but it's not something I stay for every time. Same thing with the other movies in World Showcase--I've seen them all so I don't feel bad if they get bypassed. I'd rather try to catch the bands the comedy groups and the belly dancers instead.

Under 40 and haven't watched it, but that's usually because no one else will stay with me!

Oh Dear! It's been too long since my last visit because I can't remember the movie at the end! I am slightly over 40 so I guess I'll check it out on our upcoming trip. Wonder if it will spark a familiar chord. Oh NO! Maybe I'm older than I thought because my memory seems to be going!

Over 40 and I've seen it twice (once before 40, once after). It's ok, but not a "must see..."

Under 40 and can't recall ever seeing the movie.

How does age figure into this theory? I've seen many people that looked well over 40 run, roll, and hobble through that room at the end.
