Default How much money for food?

I'm leaving for WDW on my honeymoon in 9 days... yay!!!!! I need help deciding how much money to bring for food. We aren't on the dining plan since we're staying in the concierge, so we plan on eating breakfast in the hotel every day and dinner there most days (we have 1 lunch ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern and 1 dinner ADR and Biergarten). There is just two of us. Do you guys think $50 a day is going to be enough? We also get a few snacks at the hotel. Thanks for any help!

I thought that they only had snack type food for dinners...not sure if that will fill you up...Breakfast will be fine...but $50 if you eat at restaurants may be a stretch...especially since you'll be there during 'holiday' pricing which is higher...If you plan to eat at counter service you should be fine...we allowed $30 for dinners (each person) and no alcohol drinks were included...and by the time tax and tip...we actually were closer to $35 (table service)...so my recent trip we did the dining plan...worked well for lunch/dinners and I used my Table in Wonderland for breakfasts.

If you are sticking to snacks & counter service, you'll probably be ok (although I spent $27 at the grab & go place in CSR for a pizza, sandwich & three sodas - so it could be close). But I would bring enough for a few sit down dinners in case you get tired of grazing/fast food or if you find concierge doesn't have what you are expecting. There are menus posted in Info Central that can give you and idea of offerings and prices so you can ball park expenses.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding and have a magical HM!

I think an average of $50 a day would be fine for two. We stayed Poly Club and had plenty for dinner each night but we did plan one or two nice dinners out. We would usually eat breakfast in the lounge then have something small at the parks for lunch (less than $10 per person plus maybe a mickey bar or something like that ) then go back to the resort for dinner. Most nights we were also back at the resort in time for snacks in the lounge. Our kids love to swim and hang out at the resort so we did a lot of that.

Thanks everybody for the advice! I think we should be okay with the $50/day/person since a) our two sit down dinners are covered (due to our Disney Rewards card) and b) we plan on brining the same amount for our first and last day, so I think we'll be carrying some over. I need to have plenty of money for souvenirs!

We plan $50-75 per person per day, depending on when we are going and what restaurants we plan on eating at. We eat a big breakfast and then snack in the afternoon but have a nice sit down meal with a bottle of wine and desert in the evenings. Somedays you go might go over the budget but other days you do not so it evens out.
