Fantasmic Dinner?

Recently someone posted that the dinner package is no longer worth is since you don't go in a side entrance and that the "reserved" section was filled by the time they got to it.
My mom wants us to do this package because it worked out so well many years ago. I would rather spend the money on a different restaurant if the reserved seating part is not worth it anymore. Anyone done it recently??

When I made my ADR's the end of last week I booked at Brown Derby with Fantasmic. I specifically asked the CM whether there was a separate enterance. I told her that I heard there was no side enterance anymore. She adamantly said there was a separate entrance. I hope this is true, but.... having read that this is not so anymore I do have doubt.

We thought about booking the dinner package. Did Melroses last time and it was good, but threads say it's better just to hit the 10:30 showing.

That is what I thought too, but I am going in mid-September and don't know if there will be 2 showings on any night...
