    Default I.D. Tags for kids?

I've heard of attractions across the country going with some type of ID braclet, patch, whatever for kids in case their parents get lost. Does Disney have or plan to have anything like this available?

I don't know of anything official that Disney is doing but, take a picture of your kids each morning with your digital camera after they get dressed. It's a great way to remember what they are wearing in case of an emergency. God forbid you ever have to use it but, you'll have it if you do.

We used lost and found temporary tattoos. They were great and lasted about 4 days. We needed to redo the phone number once but they really worked great. We put it on our DD's inner wrist and told her to show it to a cast member if we got separated. Just do a google search for lost child tattoo.

I bought little personalized wristbands from a popular kids label website (like tyvek wristbands you have to cut off), and another idea is to get custom rubber wristbands (think the livestrong bracelets).

There are machines in Disney that print ID tags. I think they were about $10.

When we were younger (and when my sister brings her now 7 yo) we always had something pinned to the bottom inside of our shirt with our name, mom's cell number, and an emergency number of someone who was at home (grandma, close family friend, ect...). Every morning Mom would go through the spiel of if we were lost we were to show a CASTMEMBER the card and they'd know what to do. Fortuantly we never had to use it.

While on the topic, may want to stress the importance of talking to your kids about always finding someone who works at Disney if they ever got lost. Its just an extra little safety tip for small kids.

We use metal dog tags that we pin to the kids' shirts. We get them at Petsmart.

I saw a machine for metal dog-tags at DHS, back by a food service/gift shop area, between the entrance to the Back Lot tour and where they had the "street" blocked off for construction on Toy Story Mania.

Oh, and when I haven't had a dog tag with me, I've just written my cell phone # on their arm with a Sharpie.

We used wrist bands (though the boys preferred them around their ankles) that velcro on and have a little pocket on the inner side for a paper (comes with it) that has the parent's contact info. I think they come in pink and blue. They were not expensive and came from (I think I can give the website, if not you can PM me) simaenterprises.com

    Have a wonderful, safe trip!

We bought wristbands online (the stronger paper ones) so that each kid can have one (there is 6 total kids going with us). That way we can put the resort that we are staying at on it. We were even going to put one on my dad if he were going to go with us.

Our local Wal-Mart has a dog tag machine. We made a tag for our DD's diaper bag. It has Tink on one side, and her name/my cell number on the back. It cost $6. Although she's just now 6 months old, I'll probably use it for some type of ID at WDW... probably for the diaper bag still.

When I went last year w/DB, SIL and my nieces who were 5 and 7. We took pic's of them every morning and kept them on our digital cameras and also took pic's with our phones and emailed to our computer so in case we lost the cameras.
We also had the dog tags made w/my DB & SIL cell #'s. At Walmart/Pet Smart for around $5.00

The kids made little necklaces for themselfs and i added a mini container (http://www.leevalley.com/garden/page...260,47776&ap=1 ) to the necklace with a paper inside wit their i.d. and they know they have to open the little container and give the paper to a cast member if they get lost.

We ordered custom silicone wristbands (like the Livestrong ones) from a website. They come in tons of colors, and the website we used offers a youth size as well as adult. We put the mom's names and cell #s on them (me and my friend). We had the kids wear them as ankle bracelets--less chance they would get lost.
