    Default Best WDW Vacation Book?

    Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew of any good WDW Books?

The Official book is basically the same every year, and I'm trying to find a decent book that will keep me reading!

    Thanks!

We are big fans of the "Unofficial Guide". It is written much more like a book than the other guidebooks. We get one every couple of years, and yes, I read it, and re-read it a number of times

I've found the Passporter guide useful and more recently, The Complete Walt Disney World, which won a Writer's Digest award for non-fiction this year.

i'm a birnbaum's unofficial guide person.although, not a whole lot changes from yr to yr but it's fun reading with some pictures.
our local barnes & noble has several choices and some of the other books look like just alot of words...so i stick w/birnbaum's.

I have read many over the years.
The Birnbaum Official Guide reads more like a WDW ad,no objectivity.
I am a fan of the Unofficial Guide, and I plan to buy the 2009 version as soon as I get to a mall.
I have never tried Passporter or the Complete Disney, but if the mall store has them I will browse them and maybe get them too.
Hey you can never have too many Disney books.
But,on the other hand, practically anything you want to know can be found right here on INTERCOT.

I love the Unofficial Guide. I buy one every year, mostly because I give the old ones away to other people for their planning.

I'm not a "touring plan" kind of person, but I find their crowd calendar to be invaluable. It really does help if you follow their suggestions on which parks to pick. The rest of the information on resorts, restaurants and rides is very, very complete.

(The crowd calendar isn't in the book anymore. It's on-line and you use the book to gain access to the site.)

We think that the PassPorter is the best but I'll have to check out the Complete Walt Disney World.

I just bought the unofficial guide for traveling with kids-do you think I should have just gotten the unofficial guide? I have already made my travel and lodging plans-just wanted some insight on how to attack the parks. The crowd calender seems like it would be helpful as well...

My absolute fav is the Unoffical Guide! I buy a new one for each trip, although not that much changes, but they do update menus, prices, adding any new attractions & any other pertinient info. The Complete Guide is nice but not as in depth as the U.G, but it has very nice pictures! I also enjoy my Disney trivia books, I have volumns 1 & 2, the Hidden Mickey book & 101 Things you Never Knew About WDW! The WDW Enclyclopedia A - Z is awesome! I love adding to my "Disney Library"!

I would have just gotten the Unoffocial Guide, but the one you have will be very helpful.

You can find the crowd calendar at the Unofficial Guide web site. They also allow you to create custom touring plans.

I use the crowd calendar to pick the best days for each park and then use the book to create my touring plan. It helps to have a plan of attack.

    You'll be fine.
