    Default Pins?

How are the pins doing with the economy? For those that work there...do they still sell like they did? And for those that vacation in Disney, do you still buy them?
I can't afford a $10 pin anymore...I noticed when I went in November that they had a lot of MNSSHP pins left over, so it seems I'm not the only one.
Also, I noticed that most pins aren't selling on ebay anymore...not even for less than a dollar!
I still appreciate my Halloween pins, but I wish I hadn't bought any other pins. I've spent more than $500 and now I can't even make $5 off of them.
Just wondering if this is like the Beanie Baby fad that will soon be a distant memory...

Edit: I have a closet full of thousands of Beanie Babies that I can't even give away...how sad.

Pins have always been a funny thing especially since the bottom really fell out a few years back they seem to go up and down alot as far as resale value. I have noticed that collectors are still buying pins but just not buying the extra LE pins to trade or resell like they use too. As for the extra pins being there in November Disney changed the way they sell the specila event pins making more of them and releasing them once aweek or so during the parties not a one for each night so I think this skews the sales a little. Overall the pin carts always seemed to have people there spending some money. I noticed Pin Central at Epcot was still always packed with people every time I went by.

I have a rather large collection of pins that I hold dear to my heart, however I stopped collecting and trading them a little over a year ago. I have been debating to let some of them go in this economic crisis to make some extra money, but after reading your post I now realize that maybe it isn't just me who stopped this hobby. It seems to me many others have realized they can't afford a hobby where the object of trade is a $10 pin and for those who were more into it for the LEs and DA ones, even more money.

I just buy off of Ebay for $1.60 each and trade with those, keep some I like too. Make sure they are tradeable though.
