Default Smee's Fall Getaway pt I

    Characters: Smee & sister

Finally making it to departure day we arrived at Orlando Intl. Airport in the evening last Saturday. We promptly headed for the Magical Express counter where we were pleasantly greeted with no line whatsoever! We were lined up in the appropriate line and quickly boarded onto a bus headed for Caribbean Beach Resort.

Surprisingly, we were off to a great start to our vacation with little waiting involved at all! Maybe it's an omen of good thing's to come...maybe...when we arrived at our resort, that all changed. I couldn't believe how many people were in line at 8 o'clock at night to check into their room! Of course, there seemed to be many a confused traveller as well that didn't understand that once you checked in, you didn't need to re-check in to see if your room was ready. Amateurs!

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity, we whisked away to Old Port Royale to find some grub for dinner, and peruse our 1st Disney shop! We also took time to check out the newly designed pool & whirlpool which both seemed a big improvement over what was there prior. We then headed to our room, opened our door and to no avail Magical Express was not very Magical. 3+ hrs later, our bags were not in the room and it was getting pretty late. We had never had this encounter before, usually, we arrive at our room and "presto" our bags are magically there like promised! Instead I had to make a few phone calls and about an hr later a magical bellman delivered our bags to us and we finally retired for the night.

Getting a great nights sleep we were ready to tackle our 1st day at WDW...15+ hrs in the parks!!!
Too many trips to keep track of now! Vacation WDW twice a year so any questions ask freely ☺️

Nothing so stressful as luggage not arriving on time - well, I guess luggage not arriving at all would be more stressful...

Looking forward to the rest of the story...

The pool or more the lack of sitting area around the pool was one of the reasons that CBR is was our least favorite resort.
Glad to hear that it is better now.
    Looking forard to reading more.
