POP Century
Hi
We are staying @ POP for the first time next month & I just check out the map & YIKES...it is a huge resort.
I was unable to book a preferred room, which buildings are the closest to the bus stop without being in a preferred building?
Thanks

It's not really as big as it looks. The 60s building (preferred) are closest, but everything else is pretty equal. I suppose 70s is probably the farthest walk, but 90s or 50s is pretty close.

Even the 80's section is not very far away, depending on where your room is.

We just got back today from staying at Pop Century and while it looks huge, it's not that bad. We were toward the far end of the 80's, and it seemed like that was pretty much the furthest we could get from the main building. However, we could cut through the 90's parking lot to get to the bus stops much quicker.
Hopefully Grand Californian Sept. 14 - Dumbo!

We stayed at Pop last September and were in the '90s. If you cut across the parking lot, the bus stop/main building isn't that far of a walk and it's not considered a preferred room.

We stayed in the 50's building - and really that is the furthest from the busses as they are closer to the 90's/80's side. But it really wasn't that bad of a walk! I don't think it is as big as the maps shows! Upon checking in, the cast member showed us some short cuts to get to our room the fastest as well (cut around where the luggage check in is).
The only draw back to us was that we had to walk completely by 2 smoking areas - one posted to the left of the main entrance to the gift/food area. We are very sensitive to smoke...
Have fun on your trip!!

My DH is also very sensitive to smoke.
I sure hope its not as big as it seems. That was great that a cast member showed you short cuts.

DH and I are staying there two weeks from tomorrow. 14 days and counting. We put in for the 90's. We've already stayed in the 50's and 60's and loved both areas. You can't go wrong no matter where you stay. It's all close by.
Next trip: 11/24 thru 12/5

How far is Pop Century from Epcot? Just curious is all as to the relative location of PC
Magic Kingdom 1980 (Polynesian)
MK and Epcot 1983 (Off site)
MK and Epcot 1986, 1987, 1988 (Off site)
MK, Epcot, Disney Studios 1995 (Off site)

Extremely close - if you are a CM.
We can see pretty much all of Future World from the Pop Cast parking (which is shared by those at CBR - they are "sister" resorts, meaning, the same base for both locations and they are connected backstage). It was fun to watch Illuminations while sitting on your car after work.

Thanks so much I've only stayed on Disney property once (1980) and looking forward to it.
