    Default Nashville Hotels Near Opryland

I am looking for a hotel to stay at for a few days in Nashville with my wife and son. Proximity to Opryland is first priority along with being clean and safe. We really wanted to stay at the Opryland Hotel, but from what I have read, the rooms are not that nice, many people complain that King beds were reserved by not given (a deal breaker for me) and most of all, it is $199 per night, PLUS $16 per day to park and $15 a day for a "resort fee," all plus tax.

We might could be talked into staying at the Opry Hotel, but I am interested in options near there, particularly if they had a shuttle to the Opry Mall, a full kitchenete, and/or washers and dryers in the room. We are looking for somewhere really nice.

Anyone with experience got any suggestions??

I don't particularly care for the Opry Hotel...I don't think its worth the money. We always stay at the Embassy Suites closest...you'd have to go on the Hilton Hotels site to check the proximity. Its super nice, and you get free buffet breakfast in the morning.

Opryland was awesome. I wish it were still there and not that stupid mall.
I've been to Opry Mills once and wasn't impressed by it.

Check out the Hotel Preston. It is just off the interstate, and pretty close to Opry Mills. Hubby & I stayed there for Valentine's Day one year, and it was fabulous! Very nice place with King Beds, lounge, room service, etc.

I would call Opryland and ask what deals are available. We went this time last year and stayed for the entire weekend, had breakfast, tickets to the grand ole opry, country music hall of fame, and the ryman. We also got to ride the boat inside. For everything, it was less than $500. Just keep asking about deals, and if that was the best they can offer. BTW, we had a king bed as well.

We stayed last year at a Holiday Inn Express right down the road from Opryland Hotel. It was very nice, free hot breakfast, nice pool, and easy on/off to the freeway.
