Well I am back to finally finish my reports! Sorry it has taken so long, September was a very busy and emotionally tough month.
Anyway this is the day that our DD and I were looking forward to most. My mom, stepdad and nephew were coming up from southwestern Florida to visit with us for the rest of our trip on land. We only get to see them a couple times a year and we just love spending time with Ethan so we were super excited!
We headed out to AK around 10ish to get some things accomplished prior to Ethan coming to play the rest of the day with us. So we grabbed FP's for EE and headed over to Dinosaur. After that DD and DH rode Primeval Whirl which I think is just pure Evil! So I took the time to call my mom to see where they were. They were still about an hour away so we grabbed a quick lunch at Pizzafari. Then DH ran to grab FP for the safari. We then grabbed our ride on EE. By this time my parent's were in the parking lot to drop off Ethan to us!
I think we literally ran out of the park to meet them and was just so excited to see Ethan I started to cry a little. He was so excited to see us also and was more than willing to check out some animals with us. So we said our goodbyes to the rest of the family and off we went on our search for the animals!
We didn't get a ton done, but we did take him to see ITTBAB, KS, FotLK, and Kali for DH and DD. The giraffes were out and about in full force during the safari which was great. You literally could have touched them they were so close to the vehicle. DN was so excited since they are his favorite.
We had ressies at DTD at Rainforest at 7 so we decided to head out and get cleaned up and change for dinner. DN was so tired at this point and was getting really rammy waiting for the bus to DTD. After waiting 40 minutes for the bus, we were finally on our way, already 10 minutes late for our ressies! Ethan fell asleep on my lap so I carried him from the bus stop to the restaurant, UGH!
Dinner was good, but I was really disappointed that they had taken the crab cakes off the menu. They were my absolute favorites! After dinner we walked around DTD for a while and got our yearly Christmas ornaments.
We then said our goodbyes for the evening to my family and headed back to the Poly for some much needed sleep.
There was something that I realized on this day. When my DD was preoccupied with DN, she never really complained about her belly. She was definitely hot and tired, but she did eat and never really complained. Makes me wonder how much of it was really heat or if it is more anxiety.
Overall we had a great day and really enjoyed seeing AK with a 2yr old. Up next, MK and last full day in WDW.
