If you're a DVC member, there is some pool-hopping allowed. Otherwise, no. You're welcome to use the pools at your own resort, but not others. They do provide towels at the pools, There are racks of towels around the pools, and there are towel return areas.

I could be wrong but I thought that I had read here someplace that they do not have towels by the pool at the value resorts. I am sure someone who knows more can correct me if I'm wrong.

You are correct. At the value resorts you need to bring your own towels from the room.

I thought I had read this. Does this also apply to the moderate resorts? We will be staying at a moderate for the first time in November. Have only stayed deluxe before so we are not sure what to expect.

No, the moderates do have bins of towels available at the pool area. However, we found that late in the evening the bins were not always replenished, so if you are taking an evening swim after going to the parks, you might want to bring some towels from the room just in case.

Pool hopping is not allowed at any resort on WDW Property. Key checks are done time to time, also. Lifeguards also do notice those who pool hop.

Part of the little string of numbers at the bottom of your key card is a code that tells security which resort you are staying.

As the others have already said...no pool hopping. However, if you are staying at either POR or POFQ guests are allowed to share pools at those resorts.

As said, if you are staying at POR or POFQ you can use both pools, same with the Swan & Dolphin.

I always got the notion that the towels at the beach club were heated. The woman told me they werent but that they were prob. warm from sitting so bundled up close in the sun. Regardless, of the reason why, I always loved pulling my warm towel out of that bin! Even after a short rain, the towels were dry and warm. Love DISNEY!!!!
