    Question Epcot Doll Shop

Last year when I was in Epcot I saw a store, I think it was in Germany. If it wasn't Germany, then it was the UK. You could get a custom porcelain doll made. I think the cost was $120. Has anyone ever gotten one of those dolls. I know that you can bring a picture and they will try to replicate a doll from the picture.

Germany has a doll area in the back of their toy store where they make custom dolls. I don't know what they cost though.

Yes, germany is where I saw it. I think it would be neat to get a doll made there, esepecially if she could look like my daughter.

Yes, they still make those dolls. We got one made a couple years ago for my wife (she loves dolls). She's very happy with it. Up until recently, they also had a very good selection of dresses for them. The last couple times there, they've had very few dresses. If I remember correctly, the doll itself was around $85. The dress cost almost that much too. You can order dresses from their website. Engel Puppe is the name of the place (engelpuppe.com I think). It's in Germany, but they ship to the U.S.

My daughter made one a couple years ago and wants to again this September. It was fun for her, because you get to choose the head, the hair, the clothes, everything. It is a bit pricey, but I guess it's comparable to the American Girl dolls. The dolls are not porcelain though, they are plastic, as are American Girl dolls. I think the cost with clothes and all was right around $135.
