Adventurer's Club Restaurant?
Ok all you Adventurer's Club fans. I had this idea ever since I heard of the closing of all of the PI clubs including AC. What if they changed the Adventurer's Club into a new dining experience? That way they can still meet their goal of adding additional dining options. They could still have all of the guest interactions and crazy antics and also come up with some crazy adventurer meals while still serving the famous Kungaloosh drinks. They could even have a line of AC souvenirs and t-shirts. What do you all think? Maybe this idea should go all the way to the top levels at Disney to save the Adventurer's Club!!

I like the idea, but it will need to come with a warning....MAY CAUSE SPONTANIOUS PASSING OF BEVERAGE THROUGH NOSE
Just because you're paranoid, doesn't mean they're NOT out to get you!

I TOTALLY agree! I would be very upset to hear if they permanently shut down this wonderful place. A restaurant would be a wonderful new twist!

I think this is a great idea, and I'm all for it. BUT, I'd rather they did it somewhere other than PI. Maybe at DHS, or the Polynesian...or in the
old Odyssey at Epcot as sort of a "beginning/end of an adventure around the world".
Either way, I agree...I hope they keep the Adventurer's Club. I regret not going there the last couple of trips, but I just didn't want to deal with the people at PI.

How many of them are real names?
Just did a quick glance at the petition - lots of "line voided' slots.

Wouldn't that defeat the idea of a night club?

I like the basic concept but with a few changes. I wouldn't want to see either venue moved into any of the park areas. AC would fit well in AK & CW would be a good fit in DHS as they are both stand alone venues. They should remain in the area of DTD and either new accommodations or modifications to the existing structures would be needed to accommodate larger crowds. Both the AC & CW could be set up to function along the lines of, but not exactly like, the Hoop-Dee-Doo or Luau. Lunch and dinner would have a set menu on a set time table. Lunch seatings would start at 11 am and again at 1 pm. Dinner seatings would start at 3 pm with the last seating at 7 pm. Seating, meal & show would take 1 1/2 hour with additional 1/2 hour for reset between each show. These performances would be "Family Friendly". To reduce staffing cost, the "show" could be a combination of audio-animatronics, projection video, live acts etc., on the order of the Muppet Show, Laugh Floor or Crush. Then at 9 pm both venues would be open to adults only (no exceptions) with counter service or table service available and the original format for the clubs could be in an area away from the main eating area so as to prevent the SPONTANIOUS PASSING OF BEVERAGE THROUGH NOSE.
It could work well for all concerned, Disney would make more money per hour per square foot of space that they require to be profitable, the area would be more "family friendly" during the day light hours and the adults would still have a place to unwind without the little darlings.
I'm not too sure just how receptive they are, you know the people at the top, to guest suggestions except when they want to make a point. Maybe we should copywrite the ideas, LOL. I guess we just did. Maybe we could be Imagineers?

I wouldn't like to see the AC as a dumbed down family restaurant.
Sorry, but one of the charms of the club was going from room to room for various shows. Can't do that while stuffing your face at a table.
If the AC turns into family friendly dining, it won't be the AC anymore. It's an adult club, and sorry to those who don't like it, does touch on adult subjects. If it turns into fully scripted dialog and songs, it won't be anything like the original.
I may sound bitter, but I'm tired of hearing about making a couple fun adult evening spots into family face-stuffing destinations.

Agreed. It really wouldn't be the same.
KUNGALOOSH FOREVER!!

While you may not agree with it, I think it's probably the best hope for keeping it alive. It seems like Disney is really looking at the bottom line on these changes. So, nightclubs that are only open for 5 or 6 hours at night, have limited revenue potential. Which translates to them, wasted property or at the least inefficient use. Whereas, a restaurant or shop can be open from early morning until late evening and maximizes earning potential.
I would propose that Disney buyout the Rainforest Cafe at AK, and rebuild the AC there. They could actually dual puropose it as both a restaurant and night club, open in the daytime and until just after park closing as a restaurant, then converting into a club after that.

There's always the possibility too, that Flamingo Crossing (the oddly named Western Beltway expansion) could house the Comedy Club and/or Adventurer's Club. Although I'm not sure of all the plans they have for that expansion, and how those two clubs will fit in over there.
