shipping a package to hotel

Has anyone NOT had their package arrive? I have never done this but I really want to this year. Do I need to call them first? What should I write on the package other then their address, my name arrival date and reservation # ?

I did hear of someone who had their package arrive later than they expected but I have not yet heard of anyone who didn't receive it at all.

You have everything you need to write on the package, though if you're really concerned about stuff not arriving, or if it's just food/kid stuff you're shipping, you might look into a grocery delivery service instead of shipping. It seems to be cheaper.

Be sure to ship it via a private service, such as FedEx, DHL or UPS, rather than USPS. It's been reported that anything shipped via mail goes to a central mail area rather than the resorts.

I mark the top and four sides of my package with:

Please hold for: (guest name) arriving (date). I used to put my ressie number on it, but was advised not to do that. It seems to arrive either way.
