Default Aug 08 or Feb 09?

HI! I am just looking for some opinions. Our last trip was Aug 13-20,2007. It was great, although hot.
I found the winter up here in Ma long, but a trip this year did not work out. DH said we could go Feb 09 during school vacation (week of Presiden't Day).
However, that seems so far away. I could go this Aug about the same time as last year. It is during the wonderful weeks of Disney, so cheaper, and sooner, but hotter.
    What would you do?
We would probably stay at BC for the 1st time, so we could cool off in Stormalong Bay. Thanks!

    Howdy!!!

We usually go in Sept every year but this year we went in Februaury and it was GREAT!!! The weather was wonderful, 70-80's every day. I was just saying to my kids the other day that I don't think I'll be able to go any time but in the winter again. We live near Lake Erie and it was soo nice to get away from the snow and cold to sunny Fla. We did however go in early Februaury. I've heard presidents day is really busy and is probably more money. That would make me lean more toward August.
    Good luck with your choice!!!

Personally, I would stay away from Presidents' Day week. The last time we were there during this time frame, it was difficult to walk through Fantasyland - there were that many people! I'd go as late into August as possible.

The Wonderful Weeks of Disney are when Disney indicates lower crowd levels and pleasant weather.

    Default wonderful weeks of Disney

    Thanks for the advice.
Wonderful Weeks of Disney can be found on their website. There are several of them throughout the year. I guess they are less busy times, so Disney is offering special deals.
For instance, I spent 5 nights at WL beginning of June 2006. Last Aug I spent 6 nights there for $500 less during one of the weeks.

We love Feb, but we have always avoided President's week. I don't think I could handle the heat & humidity of a summer trip, but that's just me.

I have been in Feb 08, Aug 07 and Aug 06. If you can handle the heat it is just so much cheaper in August! The water parks and resort pools are great too! February was a great break from the cold winters where I am from, but it is much more expensive.

Our next trip was going to be August 09 or Feb 09, I can't wait for August, so we are going with Feb!

    Default Love February

We;ve gone the past two years in Feb. The FL cold is way warmer than OH cold! Low 40's, jackets and jeans. Most days shorts and jackets in the evening. Crowds were very low. Presidents day weekend was a "little" crowded, but not like Thanksgiving etc....

I vote for February. The crowds will be high b/c of President's Week and all of the cheerleaders, but the weather will be much more bearable.

With the long winter we've had I wouldn't be able to wait until next Feb. We went the end of Aug, beginning of Sept last year and the crowds were very manageable. We usually go in July so it was a welcome treat to go that time of year.
    And welcome to Intercot!!

Thank you all for your advice, and welcome. It is so great to talk to people who love Disney as much as me. Not everybody gets it!
I do agree that it has been a long winter. While a getaway during the next winter will be welcome, I don't know if I can wait.
Maybe I'll get lucky, and DH will let me go both.
    It could happen, right?
