    Default Is it Really Spring??

Ok as I sit here with a cold rain falling outside and temps in the low 40s I just had to ask.

    So is this really spring

Calendar says yes, temperature says not, flowers think it is, April 1 is tomorrow, so maybe mother nature is playing an April Fool's day on you early.

No kidding! It's down to like 65 degrees here and partly cloudy.
(Oh, wait, you don't all live in Southern California?? Sorry--I spend enough to live here, I am allowed to gloat once in a while. It's one of few pleasures I can still afford. LOL)

This has been a weird winter. I had a ton of snow this winter. Blah.

This last month, I have been enjoying warm, spring like temps and then BOOM.. this morning we had a weird (although quick) snow flurry, it has since melted and dried up.. now the sun is shinning and the temp is rising rapidly. It's supposed to be in the 50's and 60's the rest of the week.

I have to remind myself, I do live in the Great White North.

We are starting to see signs of spring then wham a snow storm. Ok enough with the snow!! I get. Now we are getting back to normal i hope. Rain and at least at little warmer weather. I think i have survived living in the tundra.

It's pretty nice down here, a little chilly in the morning but it warms up by the afternoon. Flowers are killers, though. Fruiting pear trees smell horrible

I hear ya miss, and let's don't forget the orange trees. The road I travel to and from work has groves flanking it on both sides. So I get to smell the orange blossems both ways. We had a pretty good rain storm yesterday, and the weather dude said we're back to summer weather pattern now. Does that mean we're now into summer already? Lololol
The lows are in the 60's with highs in the 80's.

Sigh... it's a balmy 23º here this morning.

Right before Easter the kids and I were decorating our eggs outside, now it's winter again?

Did someone just say it was summer somewhere? lalala, not listening. Heh, we haven't gotten our spring yet.

The way it is going I fear we will go straight from winter to summer this year. Every time we start to get a little spring here comes winter back to slap us with more cold. And now we are going back into the heavy rain business. We just got the streets all opened up from the last big dump and now we are suppose to get 4-6 inches of rain between now and Saturday.

Oh well, we will be complaining in July when it is so dry won't we!

I know April showers brings may showers, but does it have to involve lighting and thunder?

Your probably right JP, oh by the way in about 2 months time I'll be coming up to NJ to visit family. Now the really tricky part is finding a car rental place that has car pick up at ACY. So is there such a critter? Or do we need to leave the airport to find the place? This will be the first time my Mom and I will be flying into ACY, and we wanted to rent a car for the duration of our stay there. So which car rental company can we go with? Doesn't National pick you up? Idk
