    Default Dole Whips?

Where do you find Dole Whips? I have read several threads about how good they are! Any other favorite snacks that are a must eat?!

At Aloha Isle in the MK. This is on the way toward Pirates. It is a building on the right after you pass the restrooms.

    Oh, and WELCOME to Intercot!!

    Dole Whips

As for other snacks, we can't go without something from the bakery in France. Or of course, the chocolate dipped rice krispie treats. Or the ice cream cookie sandwich from the Main Street Bakery -- perfect to share during Wishes.

Welcome to the board. Few things here will draw more universal accolades or repeat posts than Dole Whips. And rightfully so. During our June '07 visit, Dole Whips were a listed MK Snack Item option under the Disney DIning Plan. Worth sampling both the vanilla/chocolate swirl, as well as the "official" Dole Whip, which is Dole's exclusive soft-serve pineapple ice cream presented in a cup of Dole pineapple juice. Even their vanilla/chocolate is somehow different/better tasting than the local dairy bar equivalent. Or maybe it's just me? Enjoy!

You can find the original Dole Whip at Aloha Isle, a little snack stand in Adventureland on the right when walking toward Pirates of the Caribbean. Captain Cook's, the counter service option at the Polynesian, now offers a self-serve Dole Whip machine.

I always visit the Main Street Bakery for my absolute favorite snacks in the Magic Kingdom. Everything is incredible, including the apple turnover and French toast loaf, and I always save room for a fresh Toll House ice cream sandwich, made with two hot and warm cookies.

Dole Whips taste different because they are dairy-free. They are officially deemed a frozen non-dairy dessert.

However they are delicious and since they are non-dairy, relatively healthy. 80 cals per 1/2 cup serving for the fruit flavors and .5 g fat while the chocolate/vanilla are 90 cals and have 2.5 g fat.

Don't forget to try the Citrus Swirls and Strawberry swirls as well because they are the same products just different flavors (if pineapple isn't your thing). Strawberry is at the enchanted grove in fantasyland and the orange is near the haunted mansion I think.

I had never heard of Dole Whips until finding this site last year. I had walked past it a hundred times and figured it to be soft serve ice cream, pineapple juice, and pineapple spears. Once I tried the dole whip floats however, I was hooked. We have just started to plan and discuss this summer's Disney trip, and I fell asleep last night thinking about Dole Whips (and George Clooney, but that's for another forum).

Ok here's my 2 cents on the dole whip!! I read about them on Intercot for a YEAR while planning my trip! So we find Aloha Isle and we order up.... It was too much!!!!!!! I ordered the Pineapple float w/ pineapple ice cream and they put the juice over it. It was pineapple OVERLOAD!!

Here is my tip. Order the float w/ VANILLA ice cream instead of pineapple ice cream. Way better!! Less is more. But that's just imho!

I did the vanilla/pineapple swirl float and that was perfect! I too had walked by Aloha Isle many times and never stopped until I read about them here on Intercot. And then I was hesitant to try the float but once I did it became a favorite.

Dole Whips are the BEST! Has any one ever tried making them at home? There is a recipe posted on the internet for Dole Whip, but not sure if it is the real deal or not.

I hadn't been on in quite some time, but I am happy to see my favorite dining topic is, as always, a topic

Num. Double Num. My mouth is watering. I have a recipe for an at home version. I think I may have gotten it on intercot. It isn't nearly as good (probably because my blender stinks.) but it fills the void. I would lessen the whip cream the next time.

Any hoo... I am going to have to try Captain Cooks out this next time. It will be the world tour of dole whip for me! I love the dole whip love.
