Week Before President's Week in Feb.?

Hi all, me and the fam are going down to the world in february the week before presidents week, the 10th to the 17th. Does anyone know how the crowds will probably be then, and what will the weather be like as well? Thanks a lot!

I have never been at that time but my mother went one year and said it was the best trip ever....crowds were nonexistant and no wait more than 10 minutes....unless they are holding some sort of special event you should have a great time. She said the weather was high 60s to low 80s but I would check extended forecast prior to leaving so you know what to pack

The International Builders' Show is being held in Orlando beginning February 13th, and many Disney properties are playing host to this huge event. In fact, one of the marketing ploys to raise attendance at the show is "while you're walking the exhibit floor, your family can be enjoying all the world-famous attractions, including Disney World Resort". As was reported last year during this event, I would anticipate crowds to be more than non-existent, but less than the Christmas Holiday masses.

Note that I booked my company's rooms in July at Disney's Dolphin, as the Boardwalk was completely sold out at that time. I definitely would not go thinking that the parks will be deserted . . . I'm guessing you'll find it really picks up around Saturday the 16th, the day before your departure. As far as weather, I've heard family members experience 40-degree weather, and co-workers experience 70-degree weather - so it all depends!

Been there the last 4 years during this time:

Weather - 50's (last year) to low 70's (the year before). You never know.

Crowds - Pretty good until the Friday before President's day. I personally will never go to the parks again President's Day weekend. They were way too crowded!

I have read from earlier posts that I need to take clothes for warm and cool days and evening. Oh heck whats another suit case.

We'll be there the exact same dates! 2/10-2/17. We've never been during this time, so it'll be a new experience. We're celebrating DD's 1st birthday, Valentine's Day, and my birthday all in one trip!!!!

Like someone said it can be 50's to upper 70's, but I can guarantee it will be warmer than where you are from!

I am almost ready to book a trip for the same week! See everyone there!

We've been this week for the past 3 yrs and we LOVE it. Crowds are very light and the weather is usually pretty nice. Cool mornings and evenings with warm afternoons. However, you never know with the weather. Pack a variety of clothes and be prepared for anything. One day during our '06 trip we were all wearing heavy coats and gloves.

We were there Feb 14-20 in 2005 and it was great during the week!! Crowds were low & we wore shorts/capris in the day & jackets at night. I wouldn't try to visit the parks the weekend of President's Day. MK was totally packed. We had a great time & I'm sure you will too!!!

Hooray!! I am so glad to hear all this. My family will be there from the 8th- 16th! I am counting down the days! My daughter's birthday is the 18th but I had heard that Presidents day weekend is a terror so we are doing some early celebrating. We went January '06 for my sons 10th birthday and it was nice and quiet.
