Yeah, the movie is pretty cheesey and dated, but in my view, thats all part of its charm. I'll be sorry to see it go because it always made me smile. I really hope they don't ditch the song entirely, thats my husband and I's favorite EPCOT song. You should hear us singing it on the drive down, then again, you probably shouldn't
That's too funny! Us too! I have a video of my husband singing the song during dinner at Cape May Cafe. "Canada.... Canadaaaaaaaaa....Canada."
Bob & Doug MacKenzie with Geddy Lee and Rush doing the music? (Can anybody remember "Take Off"?)
Now, that would be something to take offense about!!

Martin Short is nice, but here's something that would be worth the price of admission alone:
Epcot presents: O Canada!, hosted by Red Green!
Always CRAZY 4 DISNEY WORLD!
VMK Name: CrazyForWDW
"Some imagination, huh?" -Mickey
"Please stand clear of the doors. Por favor mantenganse allejado de las puertas." -WDW Monorail
"There's a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day!" -COP
Epcot is my favorite park and because I am half Canadian, I always have to make a stop in Canada when I am with people that have never been to the park. My parents and I love the old movie and soundtrack but I agree that it does not show Canada today. My friends walk out of the theater thinking the country is 20 years behind the US.
With the world changing as fast as it is today, I believe that Walt Disney himself would want all of the countries to be as current as possible. His goal for Epcot was to be new, innovative, and exciting. Although we need to know history, I don't think he would approve of a 25 year old movie portraying a country as if it was in the present.
