Well, my DH tried to sneak in while I was sleeping today - he had to get his suit, as he'd been invited to go to a Boy Scout's Fundraising dinner tonight - where Cal Ripkin is the speaker! Pretty cool... It's a $250/plate dinner (which his company is paying for...) so I'm on my own for dinner tonight - anyone care to join me for spaghetti?? (It's free and is served with garlic bread, caesar salad and your choice of drinks... ) Sorry - no celebrity speakers - although my DD's put on a pretty mean stage show...

If I was allowed to eat it I would be there in a heartbeat. It sounds really good. I will just stick to my popsicles. Thanks anyway!

John here (Cantgetenuff's DH)...Christine is home and resting (semi)comfortably. The surgery went well, and the surgeon suggested that the condition of the gallbladder pointed to it definitely being the cause of most/all of her recent problems. It was all laproscopic, so recovery time should be relatively brief. She'll be breaking my computer while posting here in no time.

Thank you for all of your kind wishes and pixie dust, take care, and hopefully she'll see ya'll in October!

Sure did - right after I got home from work yesterday morning. I think I was on hold for a little over a half hour... I finally decided to call on my cell, as well, so it was quite a feat for me to be listening on both phones while checking out I'cot while I waited!! (need a juggling smilie... )

Lovely sunshine here and I have been playing tennis all morning. Slightly worrying end to yesterday as we could not get our electric garage door to shut so it was open all night. Fortunately their techie rang first thing this morning and told us how to reset the beast. he told us more in 5 minutes than we had ever been told about the workings before!

I made myself go walking at lunch....I'm glad I did -- It's nice and sunny and I got to chat with my sister. I have to go to the dentist tonight. I hate the dentist -- though I have no reason to.... Actually I hate the hygenist...the dentist has never done anything to me so he's all right....

I have a dentist appointment for tomorrow to have a tooth removed. Today someone asked me to play tennis at a time that would clash with the dentists appointment. Well, what's a girl to do? Yup: i postponed the dentist until the end of the month and I'm playing tennis instead . I relly don't like dentists!

Ellen, don't feel guilty about not bringing DS in October. Consider it a well deserved break! We all can use one once in a while. I actually go away with a girlfriend once a year. It is a great way to decompress from all of the stress in our daily routines.

Thanks, but I had a really rough night last night. Couldn't sleep at all. My throat has really been bothering me today. Don't feel like eating. All I have been doing is drinking ice water. Still have the fever & ear pain. When will it end???? I was hoping to see another update on Christine. Hope she is feeling better than me!
