We arrived on January 1st this year and left on the 9th. Expect the parks, hotels, and restaurants to be busy, but not unmanageable. The crowds persisted through the weekend and only settled down on Monday and Tuesday (8th and 9th.) Plan to arrive at the parks early, head back to the resort early afternoon, and do whatever you want in the evening. If you get the major attractions out of the way early, you can fit the other attractions in during the evening hours. Good luck!

    Default Not too bad

We were there from the 3rd - 7th of January this year, and I would say the crowd was medium. It is definitely better that the Easter time of year. My sister waited for hours for rides during that time. I thought January was nice. Have a good time.

We were there the exact same dates and I totally agree. With more and more schools out thru the 8th/9th of January the crowds were still very heavy.

I think the Marathon in 2008 is actually a week later than usual which may make a difference. The past couple of years I think the Marathoners have come in droves with their families due to so many of the kids being on Christmas break. (No hard facts, just a supposition)
