A Summer High

Epcot Cast have reported that a new exhibit will be added for the 2012 peak summer period. From June 1 till July 8, 2012; the Highland Games Tournament exhibit will commemorate Disney-Pixar’s Brave. The exhibit will be open from 11:00 am till 7:00 pm daily in Epcot’s Rose Garden area between World Showcase and Future World. The exhibit will feature a children’s playground, sand sculptures, and demonstrations of Scottish culture.

One More Dream

The One Man’s Dream exhibit at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has recently unveiled a significant addition. The attraction has re-opened from a one day refurbishment revealing a newly installed scale model of the Fantasyland Expansion project for the Magic Kingdom park.

Shorter Summer at the Cape

The Beach Club resort will offer limited dining options during Mid-Summer 2012. From July 9 through August 4, 2012; the popular Cape May Cafe will be closed for refurbishment. It has not been reported how the resort will address the reduced dining options during this typically popular time period.

Fantasyland Fall-Out

Cast Members have been able to share more details regarding the new Winnie the Pooh meet and greet currently under construction in Fantasyland. The Meet and Greet will comprise part of the former Tigger Bounce section of the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh interactive queue. The new location will reportedly feature a permanent queue and be a Photo Pass location.

1/7/12 As a result of expanding Fantasyland construction, the Magic Kingdom Winnie the Pooh Meet and Greet has been relocated. The Meet & Greet has been temporarily re-located to Town Square on Main Street USA.

A Rev-ed Return

The Walt Disney World resort has confirmed that the 2nd Annual Car Masters Weekend will return to the Downtown Disney area June 2012. On June 2nd and 3rd, Guests will find special activities including meet and greets with Finn McMissile, Lightninig McQueen, and Mater.

Bon Appétit

As part of the upgrades to Epcot’s France pavilion, Operations has announced that Bistro de Paris will be closed for refurbishment for most of the Summer. The up-scale dining location will be closed from July 1 till September 30, 2012. Guests who had Advanced Dining Reservations during this time are being contacted individually. Affected Guest’s options are a reservation for the same time, date, and party size at Chefs de France or working with a reservationist to find another available selection.

3/21/12 Epcot’s France pavilion has announced several changes to its dining options. Bistro de Paris has recently introduced a Children’s Menu for the first time. The menu offers such entrée’s as filet mignon, roasted chicken breast, and pan-roasted snapper; and offers such desserts as chocolate mousse, sorbet, and crepes with fruit. The pavilion’s operators have announced that Boulangerie Patisserie will be renovated and expanded by next Spring. The counter service location will re-open in March 2013 featuring a new interior inspired by modern French bakeries and feature breads baked fresh daily.
