    Back in the 80s we had a VHS camcorder, in the 90s we got an 8mm camcorder. Heading for WDW his fall.
    What is out these days? I am totally not a geek.

    Smartphones and go-pros seem to be the thing, many of the little cameras take video, and then there's always the IPad which I somehow always seem to end up behind .

    I mostly just use my phone camera and video these days.

    Smart phones and Go-Pro as noted...just avoid the self-sticks!

    As noted above, selfie sticks are banned at WDW now so avoid those but I agree with others that phones or Go-Pro are the way to go. The only problem with phones is if you tape more than a short segment you might run out of space in a hurry.

    My DSLR takes HD videos so I just use that or my iPhone. I haven't seen anyone carrying a separate camcorder in ages.
