What kind of pen do you bring for the autograph books. Sharpie, normal pen, gel pen or felt pen?

Sharpie has a wide marker with an almost oval barrel that works really well if you're going for autographs from fully costumed characters (Mickey, Pooh, Pluto, etc.) as they have bulky gloves on and limited vision.

As someone who used to 'hang out' with a lot of different characters, I would say that the clickable sharpies would be the best. Nice fat barrel for them to grab and easy to click if you forget to do it for them - always make sure your writing instrument is ready for the characters and ALWAYS hand them the non-writing end of the pen first. That last part helps you not write on their hand (such a faux pas) and they don't have to fumble with turning them around to write with.
It is my dream to one day pilot the monorails around the Seven Seas Lagoon....where's my star!!!

We always used a regular pen but with a fat barrel. The fat pens sold in the parks always leaked on us. I don't recommend those!
