    Question Poly or CR?

Hi!! It's been almost three yrs since we have been to WDW. We used to go every year, but the kiddos were getting "bored" ( the horror!), and we installed an in ground pool, which drained a bit of vacay funds.

Well, we are heading back the first week in Sept. As of now we have the Poly CL-garden view booked. On our last visit, a split atay, we were so very fortunate enough to be selected as the family of the day at CR and received a presidential suite upgrade!! Because of this, the CR has my heart. ♡ The kids, DD-15, DS -14, and DD-9, would really like to do the Poly again, as they like their new "freesom", and their ability to hop the monorail to either MK or Epcot. I have never stayed CL at Poly. What do you guys think? Stay Poly, or return to CR and hope lighting strikes twice? Lol

    Default Poly vs CL

You know what they say. A bird in the hand, but in this case, a Tiki torch in the hand. I would stay put. I just returned from a benefit golf outing and stayed over. The Polynesian is fabulous with the new look.

Hi fellow Michigander...I would not expect to be upgraded again. IF the upgraded room is available, they pick persons that regularity book at a deluxe as they hope they will love the upgrade so much, that they continue to upgrade (pay) on their own. Take for instance my daughters ex in-laws, they were upgraded to CL at the CR...loved it so much that they now always stay CL. I would enjoy the Poly. You do know that they upgraded the pool, and built bungalows on the beach. We are staying in a DVC studio in late September...I'm not a poly fan, but my adults gals are...so we will see! Have a great trip. I always felt the week of Labor Day was empty, cause everybody didn't want their kiddos to miss the first week of school.

I would pick the Polynesian. As a few have mentioned it is has recently been redone but I also feel it has a much more relaxing away from it all feel than the Contemporary.

Hi PirateGranny...definitely don't expect another upgrade. We realize that was a once in a lifetime thing. We have always stayed club level, and have gotten several upgrades in the past. But that presidential suite was THE BEST!!! Lol We always reserve and pay for what we want. I just almost feel like I'm cheating on CR after they gave us such a nice gift 3 years ago!!
