Move/Campfire
Starting to plan our big family trip to Disney World. We will be staying at the Wilderness Lodge. We will have an 18 month old with us. Is the movie/campfire good for this age?
I'll meet you at the Rainbow Bridge.

I believe Chip and Dale make an appearance so you would need to consider whether your toddler likes the characters or is afraid of them. Typically, the movie shown varies. Most toddlers of that age won't really watch an entire movie. It would certainly be fine to stop in for a while and leave when your toddler indicates it's time to move on!

Is it set up so that we could leave without disrupting others?

It takes place out of doors. People are coming and going all the time. I'm sure leaving would not be an issue.

Just wanted to add that at Wilderness Lodge there is a small campfire and a movie shown on the beach, I think.
The Chip and Dale sing along campfire and movie is over at Fort Wilderness campground.
Both are fun. For an 18 month old I would probably stick with the smaller one at Wilderness Lodge. If that's where you are already staying it'll be much quicker and easier to get to and leave from. If you can't stay through the entire movie it's fine to just get up and walk away. It's all outdoors.

Do they do the s'mores at the campfire on the beach at the Wilderness Lodge? The s'mores is the big draw for most of the group.

While I can't say I am 100% certain, I think they do hand out sticks and marshmallows. It's been a while since we have done this at WL, but a few years ago we did the campfire and movie at Beach Club and they did hand out sticks and marshmallows. No smores kits, just marshmallows. It wouldn't be too hard to pack a box of graham crackers in your luggage and then purchase a few chocolate bars from the gift shop. The marshmallows were free of charge, at least they where the last time we did this.
Fort Wilderness campground has a little window set up at their campfire, and they do sell smores kits there.

I am thinking that we will be shipping baby stuff to the resort ahead of time. I can send the smores stuff with it as long as they are ok with us making them at the campfire. Thank you.

Do you think they still do this at Beach Club? If so, do you know around what time? My kids would love this.

Many of the resorts now have movies on site. The time of the movie may vary by time of year - you should receive this information with your check-in packet. If not, inquire at the desk.

S'mores
There is a small snack vending shack (a 'chuck wagon') and the rear of the seating area where WDW sells S'mores "kits" - like small packages of marshmallows, graham crackers and a chocolate bar AND a few wooden sticks (like a 2 foot long thin dowel) to toast the Mmellows ove the fire.
You can of course bring your own e'mores supplies but the kit from the snack bar may be easier.
Hey! Anybody know if this is a DDP snack credit??
