Thanksgiving

Soooo, Canadian here, our Thanksgiving is in October, and when I looked up the US Thanksgiving, must have been tired that day or something, thought it was on the 19th, realized today that it's the 26th. So, my question is, how busy is it the weekend right after, are people generally gone by the weekend? Time constraints with one of our party. Thanks in advance.

It is usually quite a busy time. Our US friends often get the Thursday & Friday off, so many people travel. Disney is quite decked out for Christmas, so many people take advantage of that as well.

Like anytime, with good planning and early starts, you'll be able to get everything done that you want, and as a bonus, you'll get an early start on celebrating Christmas!

Friday will be crazy and Saturday will be like a busy summer day. Sunday calms down quite a bit as most people will be traveling home. The week after is a great week. Low crowds. If at all possible, I'd avoid US Thanksgiving week and go the week after.

The week of Thanksgiving is very busy. It is less busy leading up to it, but very busy the day of and the entire weekend after.

We've gone several times before, during and after Thanksgiving. The week after is very nice and pretty quiet as everyone tends to go home on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I highly recommend it. Just watch out as they usually tape the parade at the Magic Kingdom at the end of that week so we tend to avoid Magic Kingdom the end of that week.

We went last year for the entire week and found up until Thursday it was great we could walk on to most rides or very minimal wait then after Thanksgiving everything was slammed and we stayed out of the parks as much as possible.
