Magic Kingdom entrance blacked out today?

A friend of mine went to magic kingdom today but he said that it was blacked out? Does anyone know why? Thank you in advance for the info!

What do you mean by "blacked out"?

I have a friend at the MK today who hasn't said anything but then again, I'm not sure what "blacked out"' means.

Is he/she a CM? Maybe because of Mine Train opening...is today Media Day with the grand opening?

A "LOT" of Main Entrance Pass blockout days at Magic Kingdom (not blackouts) in May, June and July. More than normal for May due to Mine Train and several other events in May this year.

MEP blockouts just mean that CM's may not bring guests into the park on their Main Entrance Pass. They can use comp tickets but not their MEP Guest Passes.

MK only was a blockout day from Thursday to Sunday for CM Guest Passes because of the media event.
