 Refillable Mugs and Split Stays
Anyone been recently that has done a split stay AND purchased the refillable mugs?
We are leaving in 10 days - almost in the single digit dance! - and are doing a split stay between BWV and BLT over 8 nights and 9 days. We are planning to get refillable mugs but, only if they are good for both stays. Thank you!

Are the split stays on one reservation? If so, I would think that your Length Of Stay would be for the entire reservation, whether that stay was in one resort or split between resorts.
But, of course, that is my opinion only.

I am a DVC owner so, they have to be done under 2 separate confirmation number. The two reservations are linked together. Not sure if that is what you mean by one reservation.

This is my understanding of the new system from the DisneyWorld.com website.
If you have a new RFID mug, then you will be able to be purchase them for one to three (consecutive) days of use and then for a length of stay (4 to 14 days of use). In your case, since you will be doing a split stay; it would be best to do the Length of Stay mug for up to 14 days. This will allow you to return within the 14 days of purchase.

Seems to me I read the mugs are length of stay and good at any resort so the split stay should not affect the chip. It's not programmed by location only the dates. jmo

I just stayed at 3 diff resorts and got the mugs for length of stay. the mug worked fine at all 3 resorts

That's good to know. Thanks for the info. DBF and I have been wondering about that because not even Disney knows themselves.....we called and asked about our split stay (BCV/BWV) we were told that no we would have to purchase a mug per resort because even though it says "Good for length of stay" the CM on the phone was convinced it was also only good for the resort you were staying in, even though I questioned his theory that now you can fill your mug at any resort so then what would be the point in that? He was completely shocked and confused.....

they should inform their CMs about it. the funny thing is that we bought 2 mugs for length of stay and one said it was good longer than the other..didn't matter since we were gone before the the dates but I found it interesting

The CM at the first resort we stayed at for our split stay just made them all 14 days. Didn't even ask them to make it that long. Worked great at both resorts we stayed at plus we visited a friend staying at another resort and it worked great there as well.

When I got mine at Pop on Dec. 4 and asked for Length-of-Stay, they programmed them to be good until 1/1/2014!! Wish I had stayed that long!!! LOL

that's what I was thinking...they were good for a wk or two longer than I was staying..too bad they couldn't make them good for a year
