MJ Question - Bouncebacks
If I am at WDW and I want to book a bounceback discount can I contact my Magical Journeys agent to book it or do I have to call (407) 939-1923? (I realize it could create some timing problems if the MJ agent wasn't immediately available, but in this hypothetical let's assume I'm inquiring at the beginning of a 5 day vacation.)
Last time I called Disney and they were able to book my bounceback and associate it with my MJ agent's IATA number so she (Debbie) could service it, modify it and get the commission.
I have an AP burning a hole in my pocket and a Sept. trip coming up so this is a likely scenario and I'd rather know the answer now than have to find out during a Disney vacation.
Thank you as always.

Last time I did a bounce-back I needed to fill out a special form given by my MJ agent (Wendy).
I booked the bounce-back through Disney before checking out. Then when I got home I filled out the form and faxed it to Wendy. She took care of everything from that point and my reservation was transferred to her capable hands.

The last time we used a bounce back offer, they asked us if we wanted to give someone credit (such as Magical Journeys or AAA).

I already understand this.

The question: Can MJ handle the bounceback booking for me without my having to call Disney Reservations?

Wendy booked it all for me. I just gave her dates and Resort preferances, and she took care of the rest. I didn't have to call Disney or do any of the leg work!

Yes, they can now. That's relatively new policy, but it is possible.

Question -- Do you only get the bounceback offer if there is the slip of paper in the room or can you call reservations and request one? Do you need a code?

Your original post didn't make it clear you understood all the information we offered. Your follow-up question now renders clarity.

As long as you call before check-out, you can receive whichever bounce-back offer is current. Nothing in the room is necessary.

Thank you Genna. I don't know why I was under the impression that the bounceback offer was only given to certain guests.

Thank you.
I was thinking they would need the promo code, stay dates and resort preferences; the rest of the info they would (mostly) already have from your current res assuming the number and names of the guests are the same. The more I think about this the more I think it would be a bit of a pain for the MJ agent. They usually get things done in a timely manner, but here there would be this drop-dead time of close of business on the last day of your current visit or you wouldn't get the discount.

I always email Wendy or call her on the day I arrive with the bounceback info and then she books it sometime before I leave. It doesn't have to be a last second thing. You can book the bounceback any time while you're checked-in at your resort.

I do the same. On my last trip she was aware there was a bounce back before I left and notified me. I made all the decisions ahead of time and then she booked while we were there.

Does anyone know what would happen if you booked a bounce back, but then had to cancel or change dates later? Do you lose anything? Is the bounce back discount significant?

Sometimes you can move the bounceback discount if there is availability, but that's not guaranteed.
As for it being significant - sometimes. There have been times when the bounceback has definitely been better than the public or AP offerings. Sometimes it's the same. MJ will always make sure you have the best deal no matter what.
